This is to notify you of parcel insurance coverage changes for shipments via USPS (US Postal Service), FED-EX and UPS (United Parcel Service).

USPS, FED-EX and UPS insurance coverage only provides reimbursement for LOST or DAMAGED parcels.

Insurance does not cover “Porch Piracy” or customer claims of “Non-Receipt” of parcels.

If the carrier tracking shows the package was delivered, freight carriers are rejecting claims.

CB Distributing has been incurring substantial loss due to “Porch Piracy” and claims that customer(s) did not receive their package(s). USPS, FED-EX and UPS have been refusing to pay our claims, when tracking shows the package was delivered. Due to the increasing amount of claims we can no longer absorb this type of loss.
The Good News Is…..

We have obtained “Third-Party” insurance coverage for UPS (United Parcel Service) (only UPS) packages that will cover “Porch Piracy” and customer claims of “Non-Receipt” of shipments. If you choose to change your shipping method to UPS, please notify our credit department or your sales representative so we can make changes to your account.

Effective immediately, we will no longer process claims attributed to “Porch Piracy” and “Claims of Non-Delivery” for USPS or Fed-Ex. Dealer will be responsible for any loss due to claims of “Porch Piracy” or “Non-Delivery” for parcels that show delivered.

CB Distributing will continue to process USPS and Fed-Ex claims for LOST or DAMAGED shipments that are insured.

As always, we appreciate your business. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
